Getting angry is allowing negative emotions to overwhelm you, it is losing control, it is giving our light to the dark side. When we get angry our body stops being ours and becomes our nemesis. However, getting out of control is not the only risk of getting upset. Studies have shown that not knowing how to handle negative emotions such as anger has repercussions on chronic diseases. According to Chinese medicine, each emotion is related to an organ.

Thus, the manifestations of intense anger, of those that raise our blood pressure, end up hurting our liver; depressive states damage our heart; worry, lungs and fear, kidneys and stomach, just to mention a few.

It is not that you contain your emotions, but that you learn to manage them. It is normal for these to be present positively or negatively because we are emotions just as we are flesh and blood. The problem lies when they take over us, to the point of ruling our moods, our decisions, our life.

Everything we feel is a discharge of chemical substances in our body, some do us a lot of good and others a lot of bad. Unfortunately, we cannot decide which emotion to feel and which not, because in most cases this is beyond our power.

What we can do is prepare our body so that when circumstances arise that can make us explode, we find ourselves on an emotional level such that they do not affect us as they would when we are already upset beforehand.

What you must do:

  • get enough sleep

Usually, when we are not well-rested our moods change and we explode at the slightest provocation.

  • Don't take things personally

It is not simple, it is true, but if you try to put yourself in the other person's place you will distract the negative emotion.

  • Realize that it is not a good idea to make decisions when you are angry

It is not saying it, it is doing it; learn to wait for the storm to pass before thinking about what to do based on what has happened.

  • think about the consequences

Sometimes this is enough to put a handbrake on courage. Don't lose the most for the least.

  • do exercise

Each person is different, so based on your personality will be the type of training. Relaxation exercises like yoga are the most recommended, but some people require something more intense to get the emotions out.

Be aware of what makes you lose control

Whenever you want to solve a problem it is important that you know what is causing it.

seek psychological help

Some people cannot control their character due to situations that they experienced in the past and that condition their actions. In these cases, it is very important to resort to specialized support.

take distance

If you are about to turn into the Hulk outright, it is best to leave the place, and when you are cool-headed then resolve the situation.

Think of solutions, not retaliation

In general, we always want to take revenge, but revenge, although tempting in the heat of emotions, does not resolve the underlying issue; so you better plan how to resolve the issue at the root and intelligently.

Think of reasons to feel comfortable with who you are and with your circumstances

There is much to be thankful for, but because we are focused on other things we don't see it.

Therefore, do not get angry, because the one who gets angry loses; he loses the opportunity to be calm, to be happy, to enjoy his life, but above all he loses physical and emotional health. Don't get mad, it's not worth the money!
