 New BrunswickTrails 

SentierFundyTrail: for those who enjoy more leisurely trails -16 kms of groomed trails to Bike- Hike- Wheelchair accesible. Interpretive Centre at Big Salmon River and Western Access to Fundy Footpath.
 
Fundy National Park : 160 kms of hiking trails built and maintained to Park standards,  backcountry campsites , Interpretive Centre , also Eastern access to Fundy footpath by way of Goose River Trail  


Canoe Waterways New Brunswick and Nova Scotia

Spednic Lakes:  North Lake to McAdam New Brunswick . flat water interlinking lakes, some portages, DNR campsites 3-4 days .

St Croix River : St Croix to St Stephen ,N.B. 2- 3 days. Flat Water Rapids

Kejimkujik Lakes Nova Scotia : Flat water , portages , also back country section , 3 to 5 days , non motorized



Nova Scotia Trails

Cape Chignecto Coastal Trail :  'the other side of the Fundy Bay' - 51 kilometers of trails, maintained to Provincial Park standards , the trail overlooks the south side of the Bay, a 3 day hike . Sustainable tourism development in action , an excellent example of a low impact development and preservation of Bay of Fundy Wilderness .



Newfoundland

Gros Morne National Park : This is a Unesco World Heritage Site . There are a multitude of trails and terrains.The Gros Morne Mountain can be climbed with a return to your start point in one day. The Wilderness Grand Traverse is a 4 -5 days hike, unmarked ,and requires map and compass skills. Tundra, majestic fiords, caribou, moose, artic hare, permigan partridge, and of course ravenous blackflies! The ultimate wilderness experience,  including the boat ride to ferry you to the start off point in Western Brook Pond!  

Quebec

Parc de la Gaspésie:  Chic Chocs ,Mont Albert, Mont Jacques Cartier. This Park is managed in the style of Baxter State Park , limited development, well maintained dirt roads with controlled access to the wilderness zones.  A 5to 6day hike ,hut to hut , from Mt Logan to the Mt Albert Campsite. A shuttle will bring you to Mt Logan . Caribou, moose, the Mt Albert Plateau, berries in season, the most colourful variety of mushrooms , views of the Gulf of St Lawrence. This is minaiture version of the Appalachian Trail , also part of the International Appalachian Trail . For the last evening at the Mont Albert Refuge spoil yourself and have diner the Lodge .

Saguenay:  crossing by Ferry at Riviere de Loup you may observe beluga whales. A comfortable 3 day hike , well prepared trail , modern log cabins , bunkbed accommodations and if I remember outside propane stoves. Spectacular views of the Saguenay Fiord. Fine dining in Chicoutimi to finish off the hike !

Spain

Camino  de Santaigo : 800 kms the original Pilgrimage trail reclaimed in the  by . Now over 100,000 pilgrims from the peak seasons March thru November . The trail is well marked passes through small medieval villages and large cities.  A system of Albergues , municipal , religious , private will greet you at the end of each day. Do able in 32- 44 days depending on your speed of enjoymnent. Monumental cathedrals , and people from all over the planet , a true international experience . Bring a poncho to supplement your raingear as most trails are open to the elements due to scarcity of trees.
